Modern primitive

Modern primitives are people in developed nations who engage in body modification rituals and practices while making reference or homage to the rite of passage practices in "primitive cultures". These practices may include body piercing, tattooing, play piercing, flesh hook suspension, scarification, branding and cutting. The motivation for engaging in these varied practices may be personal growth, rite of passage, spiritual, sexual, or curiosity

Although many of the types of body modification seem new and exciting, they almost all have roots back to another cultures history. Now how they have been they have been tweaked to work in this culture is new. People who are a part of this culture are devoted to it. They may practice it daily, weekly, monthly, at conferences, gatherings or whenever. The rituals may be done in groups of people or individually, but they are always knowledgeable about it and not trying something new until the research has been done. Modern Primitivism is a culture that is slowly spreading and is a culture that more and more people are becoming a part of.

The Animal In Me-
Battle scars are the modern primitive’s equivalent of sniffing butt to see if others animals are from the same tribe/pack or if they rabbits in wolves clothes.

Electric fur stained by the passing of life’s events marks my body forever. This is me. This is the animal that I long to be. Some fear the battle scars left from conflicts, some fear the animal primitive screaming inside themselves trying to become the animal they were meant to be. The beast inside sleeps like a restless dragon, waiting to burn away the complex world that mankind has imprisoned itself in.

Modern primitives are a threat to the worker ant mentality. The church/corporate godhead has chained the rabbits to a yoke of slavery, taking away their animal scent (deodorant, could it be a conspiracy to take away our animal individuality?) Rabbits fear their own power, thinking that the alpha of the corporate/church pack will keep them safe from other packs that would devour them. Scared little rabbits, each hunting and gathering for their masters, then begging for the fruits of their labors only to eat crumbs out of the palms of their masters. The hive mind fears the primitive erotic power, as it fears to hunt and gather on their own in the dark jungle.

Modern primitives seek to separate themselves from the worker ant hive mind. The body/mind/spirit connection is the river that we primatives spawn in. The primitive feels the battle scars bite deep into them, marking the hunt forever deep in their flesh and soul. When you break free and own your own skin, you will start to see the false world around you is barren of cosmic ecstasy. Look around and see the rabbits fearful of the taste of blood in their mouths that mark humans as the ultimate carnivore.
